little league world series 2009 chula vista

The 2009 Little League World Series continued yesterday in South Williamsport and the game was between Warner Robins, Georgia and Chula Vista, California. And according to examiner.com, it was the Georgia team that was the favorite going into the game.

Chula Vista seemed to get off to a good start, scoring one run in the 2nd inning. And by the third inning, California had a total of 5 runs, with Luke Ramirez and Seth Godfrey both having home runs. But then Georgia took a 10-5 lead in the 4th inning, after scoring 9 runs.

Then in the fourth inning, Kiko Garcia made a 2-run home run for Chula Vista. And the California team carried on with their great performance, winning the game. Georgia has now been eliminated from the Little League World Series and California now go on to play Texas.

Hats off to Chula Vista in last nights come from behind win against GA.
Both teams had to tough it out with more questional calls by the umpiers.
I can’t understand how the strike zones can go from calling a strike in the opposite batters box, to not calling them when a curve clearly breaks over the plate, or how some umpires can not get the check swings right.
All I can say is that friends and I all think that the poor umpiring has seriously taken away from the game.
We hope any U.S. team wins it all.
